Carnival Parade Tickets
Rio’s carnival Parade is the world’s second largest parade, losing only to Salvador’s, and is the world’s greatest specatacle: 10 samba clubs gather their members to parade along the sambodromo for 80 minutes. The event goes on for 2 days, after which the judges vote on various “oscar-like” categories. Needless to say, this is an event that can’t be missed by anyone, let alone a foreigner in Rio.
Parade seats go from R$200 upwards, where the good aisles go R$420, and box seats go for R$1000. Skybox passes go for R$1400 per person, and are well worth it, since it’s all you can drink, and boy, you are here to party.
To buy tickets, contact us stating whether you want Sunday on Monday parade (no difference between them really) and which section you want: 3 (R$300), 7 or 9 (R$420)
Carnival Costumes for you participate in the Parade
The smart alternative no one will tell you is to buy a costume and actually participate in the parade! Yes, buying a costume entitles you to take part and dance along inside a samba club’s parade. Given this is a unique, once in life experience, it will grant you eternal bragging rights, like so “years ago I paraded in the Mangueira Samba School during the 2006 carnival in Rio. What about you?” Sounds super, doesn’t it?
To get a costume, you should order as well in advance as possible, as these skyrocket in price a few weeks before, and are vanished from the market a week before. Costumes go from R$600 up for the loser schools, to R$900 for the to five schools (which get to parade twice, repeating it for the parade of the champions the following Saturday).
To reserve your costume, contact us with the name of the school you want, or a price range you are willing to pay.
Costume doesnot entitle you to enter the Sambodromo seats afterwards, but end of the night tickets can be found at a discount.
